‘Hy-Brazil’, Up-coming public art project for Boston, spring on 2016.

Having been invited to create an outdoor temporary public art instillation I am looking forward to working with

‘Medicine Wheel Production’ and the community of South Boston. We are planning to create a piece that will be sited in the park system that will refer to the mythical island of Hy-Brazil.

‘South of Hy-Brazil’, Solo Exhibition at the ‘Irish Arts Center’, New York, fall 2015.

I will exhibit a series of works on paper at the ‘Irish Arts Center’ from September through December 2015. This will be an opportunity to show works created over the past five years.

New Work in Niigata, Japan as part of the Niigata City Soil and Water Art Triennial, 2015

I will return to the Niigata to work with the community of Fukui to create a new piece of work in a rural setting. This is part of an ongoing project that was started in 2009 when we created our first project in the village environs, in 2012 we created the second large piece on work there. All of these pieces are designed with ‘Baudo’ performance in mind, it is my long term vision to create a series of visually reflective spaces that can act as stand alone artworks as well as platforms for performance and community events.

I am grateful to Niigata City Soil and Water Art Triennial and the community of Fukui and to Culture Ireland who are supported this event.

‘Fasu’, Solo Exhibition, New York. 4-2015

The exhibition in conjunction with the Stephan Stoyanov gallery was a showcase of my recent works on paper and was supported by Culture Ireland

Tigh Donal Rua, (Red Donal’s House) An Daingean, Ireland, 2014.

As part of an on-going project in the valley of Coum na Lochaig under Mount Brandon at the end of the Dingle peninsula I have been working

with members of the local community to renovate the cottage of Donal Rua ( 18th century) so as it can become a place of rest and refuge from the elements while also becoming a shrine to the memory of those who have lived in this isolated valley.

Purposed Project for Boston. 2015-16.

Working with the Medicine Wheel gallery in South Boston we have been developing ideas for a public arts project for Boston.

With the Irish connections to the city it promises to be an inspiring project once everything falls into place, please watch this space.

New Work planned as part of the Niigata Soil and Water Art Triennial, Japan 2015

As part of the Niigata Soil and Water Art Triennial I will create another envoiromental instillation in the village of Fukui

where I have been working with the community since 2009. This is a unique opportunity as over the years we have

collaborated in developing a series of structures informed by traditional Shinto percepts and the desire to make work that

inspires future environmentals.

Up-coming Solo Exhibition in New York, 2015,

I will have my second solo exhibition at the Stephan Stoyanov gallery in the spring of 2015.

For this I will show my new body of works on paper.
